Victoria Square Belfast

Retail

Opened to the public in March 2008, this city centre retail centre boasts over 50 retail units and the 2 level 1000 space basement car park, is owned and managed by Q Park.

All car park controls and intercom facility can be diverted to Q Park head office in Maastricht as the car park is accessible 24/7.

The Skidata Pay on Foot system was chosen because of its reputation for reliability, flexibility and modern design features which would compliment any modern retail design.

Kapsch Long range reader integration

Readers are installed at every entry and exit lane for use by residents or visitors from the Republic of Ireland who have windscreen mounted toll road transponders from EasiTrip.

This means that ROI visitors who are registered with Easitrip can enter and exit the car park without having to pay and the tariff is deducted from the Easitrip account.

Also, residents are required to park in a nested car park in the lower basement using the same vehicle transponders

Integrated CCTV cameras within Skidata parking columns

3rd party pin hole cameras are installed at all entry lanes, housed within the right hand side panel of the Skidata parking columns.

An image of the driver is displayed on a screen to let customers know that they have been recorded on CCTV. This adds to the sense of security and customer care for those using the basement car parks.

Staff access card reader

In order to ensure that staff park in the lower basement, a reader has been installed at the top of the access ramp where staff must present the Skidata proximity card before descending to the lower car park to avoid paying for parking in the upper level.

This feature ensures that the public are given priority for customer convenience.

Siemens Parking Guidance Sign Integration

The Skidata system sends live data to Siemens controllers which in turn update city wide traffic signs on car park space availability at the site.

This allows the public to make an informed choice as to where to park.

This becomes a vital facility within the city especially during very busy retail periods throughout the year.
